SPRING/SUMMER 2024
FROM BEHIND THE HIDDEN CORNERS OF THE GRAND BAZAAR TO MUCHA'S ART DECO PRINTS.
LUG VON SIGA, ONCE AGAIN, UNDERLINES THE TRADITIONAL ELEMENTS OF TURKISH CULTURE WITH A CONTEMPORARY TWIST.
“Each time I enter the Grand Bazaar, I have this immense feeling of synchronicity, alignment with the universe, lightness, and peace in reaching my roots.
Therefore, whenever I feel lost during the process of creativity, I visit the Grand Bazaar in order to ground myself” says Gul Agis, the Creative Director of Lug Von Siga.
Her sustainable approach to fashion, this time made her think of upcycling old Uzbek bed covers that were piled up in the Grand Bazaar and turning them into beautiful garments of one of a kind, all the while using the heritage of making contemporary pieces for SS2024, again with sustainable materials such as linen and natural fabrics.
In LVS SS2024 collection there is an integrity of embroidered Uzbek motifs and their dancing with Mucha’s flawless Art Deco inspired prints with a contemporary twist. Hence, the color board is a mixture of rich Turkish colors such as flashy pink and turquoise mixed with subtle earthly tones and pastels for prints.
Feminine silhouettes have been integrated with masculine duos such as shirts & pants, basic cropped T shirts and vests.
Dresses are the signature of Lug Von Siga where volumes and detailed embroidery as well as spiced up subtle sexiness are omnipresent.
Fabric manipulated styles and asymmetric one shoulder dresses with a ruffle in crisp cotton and linen embrace the easy mood of summer in a sophisticated way.
